I am a mold inspector (also called an assessor or investigator) who used to be an academic mycologist and later a laboratory analyst working with mold samples submitted by other inspectors. I decided to bring the lab to the field — meaning to your home, not an actual corn field.

The first part of my company name, InSitu, comes from the Latin in situ, which literally means 'in position'. It reflects the fact that most of my analyses are performed right on site, during the inspection itself. See more about the advantages of this approach.

However, some analyses cannot be performed on site. In those cases, I use the services of third-party laboratories. In some situations these practices may also be required for legal reasons.
